Ready or not?

There comes a time in every person's life when they finally meet the person of their dreams. The person they believe they will spend forever with, or at least the rest of their life. However, how long is forever really?

I have come across this very interesting theory that a man doesn't really fall in love but in fact just comes to the point in their life when they feel they are ready to settle down. Is it even possible for a man to feel this chemical reaction within themselves the way a newly mother feels love for a baby they just met? There are so many love stories and romance movies that lead us to believe that if we were meant for someone, they would both feel some type of way. But what if, this belief or feeling is well adjusted to be one sided? What if, this feeling is only valid to women?

In my opinion, I honestly believe that a man doesn't "find the right one" but instead just comes to some realization. The realization that when all the games and chasing is done and over with, they are ready to settle down. Once they have that lovely epiphany, it's whichever woman happens to be walking pass them, is the "right one".

As skeptical as this sounds, I for one, have experienced this. The relationship began to die down when I realized that he was more than ready to settle down, and I was not. Unfortunately for me, I have the mind set of a man. Fortunately for everyone else, I know how the men feel.

birthday bash

Every girl's dream on her birthday is to be treated like a princess. It's that time of the year when anything she says goes. That's exactly what I got this year.

I have the greatest friends a girl could ever ask for, they take out you, let you have what you want and on top of everything they made you feel like the luckiest girl in the world. So what else could a girl possibly want?

Of course, the party of the year. Almost like a Project X type experience. And quite honestly, that's exactly what I got. I decided to have a birthday bash. No parents, no morals, just a shit ton of alcohol and good people all around. Now, my idea of a great party was to have everyone at my house basically just let loose. I didn't realize that was an open invitation to the rest of the world. This party started out pretty hectic. There were people there at 9 pm when the party didn't start til 11 pm. So no big deal right? Party just started a little too early right?

Wrong. To begin with, there were people already there that I didn't know. I guess I should be happy that people showed up with their own alcohol at least. But towards the end of the night, I had already gotten into a physical altercation and was sober-stressed, it was unreal. By the end of the night, I had expected about 15-20 people, the outcome had become over 100 people. It was as much Project X as it could possibly get. At one point there was a line to get into my own apartment, it was like you would've thought a poppin' ass club just opened.

Bottom line and moral of the story? Don't let a bunch of college kids find out you have free crib and alcohol.
